Requirements

To Root Your Nokia device follow the steps below:

Step 1 : Enable USB Debugging mode on your Nokia device. Go to Settings >> Developer Options >> USB Debugging . Turn ON the option to turn on USB Debugging on your device. The Root won’t work unless you have this option enabled.

Step 2 : Install the ‘Nokia X Manager‘ and Open it. Connect the device to your PC with a USB cable. If the device is connected with no errors, the X Manager Shows a success message inside the window -‘Device Connected‘. Otherwise all the options are disabled. This is for safety reasons, which means you can only root your device only if it is connected correctly into the PC. The window also shows a status Log on the bottom left, which lists the device connected to the PC.

Step 3 : Click on the ‘Root Device‘ inside the ‘Root’ section. The Log shows the details of the current process. What happens at this moment is X Manager simply copes the SuperSU root file to the internal memory of the device. The phone is automatically re-booted to the Recovery Mode.



Step 4 : When booted to the recovery mode, click install zip and choose the file copied by the X Manager on the internal storage. After successfully installing the zip file, Re-boot the device.

If your rooting was a success, you will see the ‘SuperSU‘ app inside your App list. You can also install the GApps from the ‘Nokia X Manager’ by clicking on the ‘Install GApps‘ inside the ‘GApps’ section.
